What is a parlay bet?

A parlay, also called an accumulator, acca, multi or combo depending on where you are, is a single bet that links two or more selections. The odds multiply together, which is why the payout grows so quickly, and every selection must win for the bet to pay.

If a selection is void (a postponed match, for example), most books remove that leg and pay the parlay at the remaining odds rather than losing the whole ticket.

Reading the three formats

  • Decimal (1.91): the total return per unit staked, including your stake. Standard in Europe, Latin America, Asia and Australia.
  • Fractional (10/11): the profit relative to the stake. Traditional in the UK and Ireland.
  • American (-110 / +150): a negative number is how much you stake to win 100; a positive number is how much you win on a 100 stake.

Running a book? Global PPH lets each of your players pick their own odds format, so you never have to explain -110 to a player who thinks in 1.91.
